Acting New Jersey Attorney General Andrew Bruck and Assembly Minority Leader Jon Bramnick will join host David Wildstein on the New Jersey Globe Power Hour on Talk Radio 77 WABC on Saturday, August 28 at 4 PM.
Bruck became the state’s top law enforcement officer in July after Gurbir Grewal resigned to take a post at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The 38-year-old Bruck is a graduate of Princeton University and Stanford Law School and served as a law clerk to New Jersey Supreme Court Chief Justice Stuart Rabner from 2008 to 2009. He worked as a litigation associate at Davis Polk & Wardell before completing a five-year stint at the U.S. Department of Justice.
He served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in New Jersey, and was senior counsel, deputy chief of staff and acting chief of staff to Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates. He joined the Murphy administration as Executive Assistant Attorney General in 2018 and has been First Assistant Attorney General since last summer.
Bruck is New Jersey’s first openly gay attorney general.
Bramnick has served in the State Assembly since winning a 2003 special election convention. He joined the Assembly Republican leadership in 2006 and became minority leader in 2012. An attorney, Bramnick has been named the Funniest Lawyer in New Jersey and is the author of Why People Don’t Like You, a comedic book about social skills.
Mentioned as a potential candidate for statewide office, Bramnick turned down chances to run for governor in 2017 and 2021. He is currently the Republican nominee for State Senate in the 21st legislative district, where Senate Minority Leader Tom Kean, Jr. is not seeking re-election.
Bramnick is also a member of the New Jersey Legislative Apportionment Commission that will draw new districts for the 2023 election.
He is a longtime advocate for more civility in politics and for creating stronger personal relationships between members of both political parties.
Wildstein is the host of the New Jersey Globe.
