Essex County Republican Chairman Al Barlas and Democratic strategists Michael Muller and Mickey Quinn will co-host the New Jersey Globe Power Hour on Talk Radio 77 WABC on Saturday, September 4 at 4 PM.
The three will fill in for New Jersey Globe editor David Wildstein, who is taking a day off after hosting 50 consecutive weekly radio shows.
Barlas, who is in his 9th year as a county chairman, is the Republican chairman of the New Jersey Legislative Apportionment Commission that will redraw the state’s 40 Senate and Assembly districts. A senior vice president at Mercury public affairs, Barlas is a former chief of staff to State Sens. Kevin J. O’Toole (R-Cedar Grove) and Kristin Corrado (R-Totowa) and legislative director for then-Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon (R-Little Silver).
Muller is the president of Muller Public Strategies and is the chief executive officer of the New Jersey Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee, a post he’s held for the last 15 years. He served as state director for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign and for Michael Bloomberg’s campaign for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. He is the Mount Laurel Democratic Municipal Chairman.
Quinn is the owner of MQ Strategies, a Democratic political consulting firm. He is the former deputy executive director of the New Jersey Assembly Majority Office and has been directing campaigns in New Jersey since 2009. Quinn serves on the board of trustees of Rowan College at Burlington County.
