The third generation of Atlantic County’s Cooper family is now in government, creating speculation that he might run for office in the future.
David Little, the new Atlantic City Chief Municipal Prosecutor, is the son of former Atlantic County Freeholder Alisa Cooper-Little and the grandson of former Assemblywoman Delores Cooper.
Cooper-Little spent thirteen years on the New Jersey Casino Control Commission prior to her retirement last year.
Unlike her daughter and grandson, Delores Cooper was a Republican. She served as a freeholder and then spent a decade in the State Assembly.
David Little had spent over five years as an Assistant Atlantic County Prosecutor and clerked for Superior Court Judge Todd Miller. He was a volunteer on Phil Murphy’s 2017 campaign for governor, and interned for a U.S. senator, and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
