Lower Township Mayor Frank Sippel will defeat Democratic challenger Christopher South and Republicans in the there will hold onto complete control of the council, the New Jersey Globe Projects.
He leads South 7,68-3,572.
He’ll serve the remaining year of Assemblyman Erik Simonsen’s (R-Lower) mayoral term and will have to seek re-election again next year.
Deputy Mayor David Perry faced a challenge from Democrat Chris Marlowe.
Perry beat Marlow 6,947-3,678.
Ward 2 Councilman Kevin Coombs, who was appointed to fill Sippel’s council seat after he moved into the mayor’s office, ran unopposed.
