Cape May County Democratic Chairman Brendan Sciarra was re-elected on Wednesday at a “socially distant reorganization meeting” held at the Cape May County Park and Zoo.
Sciarra said that every Cape May municipality now has a Democratic organization for the first time in decades, and that a county committee with over 225 members is an all-time high.
“Even as Cape May County tops the state with its declining population, we are seeing the number of registered Democrats at an all-time high,” he said. “With this level of enthusiasm, I believe we are well positioned to reinvent our Party and aggressively push ahead.”
Kathleen Gorman was re-elected vice chair.
