Cheesman named deputy Burlington County Clerk

Heather Cheesman is the new deputy Burlington County Clerk.

Cheesman replaces Wade Hale, who left earlier this month to become the deputy director of the state Division of Elections.   County Clerk Joanne Schwartz named her to the post.

She has been the chief of staff to the county clerk for fourteen years.

Cheesman is a former deputy mayor of Bordentown and served as Democratic municipal chair and on the Bordentown Regional Board of Education.

Superior Court Judge Aimee Belgard administered the oath to Cheesman.
