Matt Rooney, the editor and founder of Save Jersey, a conservative political news site and the host of the Matt Rooney Show on 1210 PPHT radio, will be installed next month as the new president of the Camden County Bar Association.
In addition to being the voice of New Jersey conservatives, Rooney is a family law attorney and has served as a municipal prosecutor in Middle, Millville, Salem City, Lower, Woodbine, Wildwood Crest, Haddon Heights, Lawnside, Berlin, Stone Harbor, Avalon, and Mullica. He’s also the Middle Township Solicitor.
Rooney practiced law at the firm of Blaney, Donohue & Weinberg; one of the partners at that firm, Michael Donohue, the Cape May County GOP Chairman and a former Superior Court Judge, will swear Rooney in as the 98th president of the Camden County Bar Association.
He has long times to Camden County: his grandfather was Undersheriff William Strang. Strang ran for sheriff in 1971 and lost to Democrat Arnold Cream, better known by his name as a championship prize fighter, Jersey Joe Wolcott.
