A longtime policy wonk who has worked for the U.S. Senate, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the New Jersey Governor’s office has joined River Crossing Strategy Group as co-leader of the firm’s non-profit practice.
Janellen Duffy, who was Gov. Jon Corzine’s policy director, had served as executive director of New JerseyCAN and led policy initiatives on school funding and construction formulas.
“Janellen is widely respected as a substantive policy expert, especially in the area of education, higher education, and nonprofit advocacy,” said the firm’s managing partner, Eric Shuffler. “She has strong relationships with education leaders and stakeholders throughout the state and a deep network of governmental and political relationship relationships from her time in the Governor’s office and the advocacy community.”
Kevin McCabe, another RCSG partner, said he had worked with Duffy in her past roles.
“We are now fortunate to have the opportunity to welcome her as a member of the River Crossing team and to expand our firm’s capacity to service our client’s needs, especially in the areas of education and nonprofits,” he said.
