American Democratic Majority, a super PAC with ties to South Jersey Democrats and political powerhouse George Norcross, will honor Senate President Nicholas Scutari at a high-dollar fundraiser later this month.
The April 26 event at the Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, has a $2,500-per-person ticket price.
Losses by South Jersey in the 2021 general election, including the defeat of Senate President Steve Sweeney in his own legislative district, led to Scutari’s election to the second-most powerful position in the state last year.
Democrats also lost expensive, high-profile legislative races in the 2nd and 8th districts. They lost a Senate seat and two Assembly seats in the 1st district in 2019.
Norcross is gearing up for a bid to reclaim some legislative seats in 2023, despite a new map that enhances Republican incumbents in South Jersey.
