National Republicans are spending almost $1 million to convince GOP voters that vote-by-mail and early voting in New Jersey’s upcoming legislative races are “safe and secure.”

The Republican State Leadership Committee today released a digital ad with a message of Democrats seeking to “turn New Jersey into California.”   The RSLC will push and chase VBMs and early voting as part of a significant effort to maximize Republican voter turnout in an election that could potentially flip control of the State Senate and General Assembly.

Script: “Far-left Democrats want to turn New Jersey into California.  They’re pushing to ban new gas cars.  Threatening your gas stoves.  And they’re fighting to keep schools from telling parents the truth about their children.  Only your vote can stop the radicals.  Fill out your vote-by-mail ballot application today.  It’s safe and secure.  Don’t let Democrats turn New Jersey into California.  Fight back.  Fill out and return your vote-by-mail application today.

Nearly 167,000 Republicans statewide will receive mail-in ballots; county clerks began sending them out last week, and 2,141 registered Republicans have already voted.  In recent elections, Democrats have shown a substantial edge in vote-by-mail and early voting.    New Jersey early voting centers will open up for ten days, beginning on October 28.

“We’re playing to win in New Jersey, and the RSLC’s historic absentee ballot and early voting program investment is proof of that,” said Edith Jorge-Tuñon, the RSLC deputy executive director and a New Jersey native.   “New Jersey voters are ready to send state Democrats packing due to their extreme  agenda of tax hikes, disastrous green policies, and excluding parents from having a say in their children’s education.”
