Petra Gaskins, who has been State Sen. Andrew Zwicker (D-South Brunswick)’s chief of staff for the last three years, announced today that she is switching to become State Sen. Joe Cryan (D-Union)’s new chief of staff.
“With a substantive background in politics and government, Petra has the skillset necessary to advance pivotal higher education legislation and serve our residents,” Cryan said. “I am excited to welcome her to our team.”
Gaskins has also been a councilwoman in New Brunswick since the beginning of last year. Cryan is the chairman of the Senate Higher Education Committee – an important issue for Gaskins’ Rutgers-focused city.
