State Sen. Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) was effusive in his support of Gov. Phil Murphy’s nomination of Michael Noriega to a seat on the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Bramnick and Noriega, a Democrat, are law partners.
“Michael is a person of the highest integrity,” Bramnick said. “Whoever meets him comes away with a great feeling.
The Republican lawmaker, who serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said he will support the nomination “without any doubt.”
“He is extremely sincere, extremely kind, and extremely generous,” said Bramnick. “He has every quality we would want as a Supreme Court Justice.”
Still, Bramnick said there is some bittersweet feeling at his Union County law firm, Bramnick, Rodriguez, Grabas, Arnold & Mangan, the Scotch Plains law firm.
“It will be said for us to see him go,” he stated.
