Mario Kranjac’s campaign sent out the following press release on the Rutgers-Eagleton Poll on the New Jersey Governor’s race released today:
MAGA Mayor Mario Kranjac’s campaign is touting a new Rutgers-Eagleton Survey showing Kranjac with the most momentum of any candidate in the field.
“It’s now clear that after just a few months in the race, Kranjac has surged to double digits and is on pace to win a commanding plurality in the Primary,” said Campaign Manager Michael D. Byrne. “Mario’s proven pro-life, pro-Trump, America First record is resonating with New Jersey Republicans.”
Byrne’s comments came following publication of a new Rutgers Eagleton “poll” that routinely under-counts pro-life, pro-Trump support by 10 to 15 points.
“Just last year, Rutgers-Eagleton predicted Kamala Harris would beat Trump by 20 points in NJ; but the margin was only five,” Byrne said. “And in 2020, they claimed Biden would beat Trump by 25 when the gap was just fifteen.”
Byrne said that the Rutgers-Eagleton record for RINO candidates like Jack Ciattarelli isn’t much better.
“In 2021 — just one day before election day — Rutgers-Eagleton predicted Murphy would beat Ciattarelli by 8 points,” Byrne said. “In fact, Jack went to sleep on Election night having won the race… and then stayed in bed for the next month while Murphy stole it from him.”
Byrne also cited failed 2013 polling by Rutgers that led to an expose in the Philadelphia Inquirer examining how Rutgers could have gotten the special U.S. Senate election so wrong.
“Rutgers-Eagleton was so far off in 2013 that they had to bring in an outside firm to analyze their poll and the results were remarkable,” Byrne said. “Rutgers-Eagleton actually had to be taught by a competitor about the psychological effect of priming in scientific polling…so needless to say, Rutgers latest survey bodes very, very well for MAGA Mario.”
Editor’s note: Kranjac polled at zero percent in today’s Rutgers-Eagleton poll.
