Montclair Mayor and New Jersey Education Association President Sean Spiller released the following statement on the death of Lieutenant Gov. Sheila Oliver:
“I am so deeply saddened by the loss of our Lt. Governor, Sheila Oliver. Lt. Governor Oliver was a trail blazer, ceiling breaker, brilliant and compassionate leader. Her passing leaves a void in our party, our state and our Essex County community. Lieutenant Governor Oliver’s leadership, and friendship will be sorely missed.”
