Oliver Tribute: Jamel Holley

Former Assemblyman Jamel Holley (D-Roselle) released the following statement on the death of Lieutenant Gov. Sheila Oliver:

“When I first arrived in the New Jersey Legislature, Sheila Oliver was the first Assemblywoman that took me under her wing.

Her compassion and willingness to look beyond politics and focus on people is why we elected her and we are constantly reminded of this even today.

Her commitment to this state and her devotion to help everyone including many African Americans will always be missed.

My sincerest condolences to her family and all those that she touched.”
