National Right to Life endorses Spadea for governor

National Right to Life is supporting Republican Bill Spadea for governor of New Jersey, giving him the backing of the largest national and state pro-life organizations.

“We’re excited to have a truly pro-life candidate running for Governor in New Jersey,” said Carol Tobias, the National Right to Life president. “Bill Spadea has supported the pro-life movement in New Jersey for years alongside the team at New Jersey Right to Life, and now we are ready to support his efforts to take back New Jersey from the radicals who support abortion all the way to birth.”

New Jersey Right to Life endorsed Spadea nearly three weeks ago.

“Our campaign’s momentum continues to pick up speed, and the endorsement from National Right to Life is a big boost to our efforts,” Spadea said. “Coming on the heels of the endorsement from the New Jersey Right to Life PAC, this endorsement cements our position as the pro-life candidate for Governor in New Jersey.”

New Jersey Right to Life PAC cautiously “recommended” Jack Ciattarelli in his 2021 campaign to unseat Gov. Phil Murphy. They declined to fully endorse Ciattarelli at the time because of his proclaimed support of abortion rights.

Two other Republican gubernatorial candidates have clear views on abortion: former State Sen. Ed Durr (R-Logan) is staunchly pro-life, and State Sen. Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) is unabashedly pro-choice.
