Bramnick raises over $1.5 million for governor’s race

State Sen. Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) has raised $1,535,630 for his bid to become the Republican nominee for governor after bringing in $130,07 during the fourth quarter of 2024.

Bramnick has already spent $1,131,936 and has $403,693 cash-on-hand.

The two-term state senator has qualified for around $2.7 million in matching funds; that would bring is total number to a little more than $4.2 million.

By accepting matching funds, Bramnick is agreeing to an $8.7 million spending cap in the GOP primary.  He needs to raise an additional $1.4 million, roughly, to qualify for the full match.

To hit the $8.7 million cap, Bramnick still needs to raise another $1.7 million.

Among Bramnick’s donors is Patrick Hobbs, who stepped down as Rutgers Athletic Director after an investigation for an “inappropriate consensual relationship” with a subordinate.    He donated $2,750 on November 4 and listed his occupation as unemployed.
