After winning re-election, Bramnick throws a punch at Spadea

Hours after winning re-election to a second term in the State Senate, moderate Republican Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) appears to have launched his first grenade as a potential candidate for Governor in 2025, taking a shot at a likely opponent, radio personality Bill Spadea.

“Most New Jerseyans don’t want hateful rhetoric from a ‘know it all radio talking head’ who has never has never had to make a decision as an elected official,”  Bramnick said.  “They also do not want to support candidates who are neutral on Donald Trump’s denial of the election outcome or his support of the January 6th riot at our capital.”

Last night, Bramnick cited the move away from extremism as the reason why Republicans won back towns like Summit, Westfield, and Cranford that have become key components of the Democratic base in recent years.,

“Moderate Republicans who treat everyone with respect win,” he said.  “No harsh rhetoric, just results.”

With his own 10-point victory behind him and a four-year term in the Senate, Bramnick is expected to continue his push for greater civility and centrist policies
