St. Peter’s names Schnitzer to head graduate degree program

By David Wildstein, July 27 2020 1:16 pm

Ginger Gold Schnitzer will head the Saint Peter’s University public administration master’s program, the university announced today.

Schnitzer, the former government relations director for the New Jersey Education Association, will also continue in her current post as executive director of the Guarini Institute for Government and Leadership.

“In her short time with Saint Peter’s, Ginger has been a dynamo, exceeding our expectations for the Guarini Institute for Government and Leadership,” said Saint Peter’s University president Eugene Cornacchia.   “We believe this partnership between the Guarini Institute and the MPA program, under Ginger’s leadership, will provide great synergy to help us reach our goals for both areas.”

A former Plainsboro Township Committeewoman, Schnitzer spent 27 years at the state’s largest public employee union.

“Now more than ever, our world needs competent and compassionate public administrators with the skills and ethical grounding to justly work through complex problems in the public, private and non-profit sectors,” Schnitzer said.
