Statement of Tom Malinowski

“I’d like to thank Senator Kean for calling me this evening and for graciously congratulating me. “

“In a close race like this one, every bit of effort is a difference maker, and I could not be more grateful to everybody who supported our campaign, especially the volunteers who spent countless hours reaching out to their neighbors, knocking on doors and making calls. I received more votes in this election than any candidate in the history of our Congressional District. So did Senator Kean. The record turnout is a sign of how seriously we take our civic responsibilities in the 7th District, and is good for our democracy.”

“Voters have sent us a message that they want leaders who will defend our country’s principles, while working together, irrespective of political party, to solve our country’s problems. Our attention must now turn to the work that I know unites the overwhelming majority of us, beginning with defeating the pandemic, helping the individuals and businesses it has harmed, and restoring a strong economy. I look forward to working with the incoming Biden Administration, and with colleagues in Congress on both sides of the aisle, to move our country forward and deliver for New Jersey.”

“In doing this work, I will continue to do my best to be accessible and accountable to the people I serve, and to represent the interests of all, whether they voted for me in this election or not. I am deeply honored to have this opportunity to continue representing the 7th District and will do everything in my power to keep earning my constituents’ trust.”
