Christine Serrano Glassner, the mayor of Mendham and a staunch supporter of Donald Trump, won a landslide victory at the Warren County Republican convention this morning, scoring the organization line in a heavily Republican county.

Serrano Glassner defeated a longtime Trump critic, Curtis Bashaw, by a vote of 58-13, 82%-18%.

Alex Zdan, the former News 12 New Jersey reporter who won the Monmouth County convention on Thursday, did not seek to collect the twenty signatures needed to get on the ballot.

Warren Republicans also voted to support Trump, Rep. Thomas Kean, Jr. (R-Westfield) and County Commissioner James R. Kern III by acclamation.

In 2020, Warren County made up 3% of the statewide votes cast in the Republican primary.

Serrano Glassner, a former George W. Bush administration official, has already put up wins in Hunterdon, Morris and Union counties.   Bashaw has won in Atlantic and Ocean, an Zdan in Monmouth.

Six other Senate candidates – Steve Boston, Michael Estrada, Albert Harshaw, Brian Jackson, Justin Michael Murphy, and Fred Schneiderman – did not compete in Warren.
