Rep. Andy Kim (D-Moorestown)’s bid for the United States Senate has received the endorsement of Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF), the latest abortion rights group to back the three-term congressman.

“In the wake of the 2022 Dobbs decision, we turned to leaders like Planned Parenthood Action Fund to help us unify, organize, and activate our communities to fight against Donald Trump and his party’s extremist views on reproductive freedoms,” Kim said in a statement. “Now, Republicans have made clear that a national abortion ban is possible if they win this November; I am ready to do everything in my power to make sure that never becomes a reality and I know with PPAF’s help, voters will soundly reject Republicans anti-choice agenda this November.”

PPAF has also endorsed four Democrats in New Jersey House races so far this cycle: Sue Altman, the Democratic nominee for the competitive 7th district, and incumbent Reps. Frank Pallone (D-Long Branch), Bill Pascrell (D-Paterson), and Mikie Sherrill (D-Montclair).

Kim, who’s running against Republican Curtis Bashaw for the seat currently held by disgraced Senator Bob Menendez, also has the backing of Reproductive Freedom for All – formerly known as NARAL Pro-Choice America – and the National Organization for Women.

A consistent supporter of legislation in Congress to expand abortion access, Kim previously got PPAF’s endorsement in all three of his House campaigns.
