Rep. Tom Kean Jr. (R-Westfield), New Jersey’s most vulnerable incumbent in this year’s midterm elections, has raised more than $3 million for his re-election campaign so far this cycle.
Kean said today that he raised $677,358 in the 4th quarter of 2025, his fourth straight quarter raising more than $600,000. All in all, he has raised $3,280,217 for his 2026 re-election campaign, and went into 2026 with a towering $2,469,481 warchest.
“I am grateful for everyone who continues to support our campaign and believes in the work we are doing for the people of New Jersey’s 7th district,” Kean said in a statement. “Our strong fourth-quarter reflects an important part of the momentum we’re building, and the trust 7th District residents have put in our commonsense and results-focused agenda. As we head into the 2026 election, I will continue to listen to families and small businesses across the district, and work in Washington to deliver on their behalf.”
Democrats sense opportunity this year in Kean’s suburban district, which narrowly voted for Donald Trump in 2024 and Mikie Sherrill in 2025. Six Democrats are in the race to unseat Kean, a field that will be whittled down throughout the spring and in the June primary elections.
Four of those Democrats – Rebecca Bennett, Tina Shah, Brian Varela, and Michael Roth – have surpassed $1 million raised thus far, remarkable totals for House challengers in an off-year. Bennett, the field’s fundraising leader, had already raised nearly $2 million as of the end of 2025.
