Gottheimer goes into Sherrill’s district to raise money

In new digital ad, Sherrill uses abortion issue to boost Democratic turnout

Two members of the U.S. House of Representatives from New Jersey are busy boosting Democratic legislative and local candidates as the mull runs for governor in 2025.

Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff) went into Rep. Mikie Sherrill’s home turf this week with stops in Essex and Morris counties.  He headlined a Morris Democratic fundraiser and attended Essex County Democratic Chairman LeRoy Jones, Jr.’s event with his own check in hand.  Sherrill also attended her home county event.

“I was honored to join Chairwoman Amalia Duarte and an enthusiastic crowd to support the Morris County Democrats up and down the ballot,” Gottheimer said.  “It’s all about making sure they win big on November 7th.  Commonsense over extremism!”

Gottheimer was also in Passaic and Sussex counties last week.  He represents part of both counties in Congress.

Sherrill used her congressional campaign account to pay for a digital ad urging New Jerseyans to vote Democratic “on or before November 7” to protect themselves from Republicans who want to defund women’s healthcare and create a nationwide ban on abortion.

Script: “ (Newscaster 1) Republicans limit access to abortion.  (Newscaster 2) National abortion ban.  (Newscaster 3)  Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill says no one should be able to take away access to health care from a woman.  (Sherrill ) We see so many Republicans coming after reproductive rights nationwide, and they’re not going to stop until they have a nationwide ban.”
