Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff) announced today a $750,000 federal investment to restore and renovate Cooper’s Pond in Bergenfield.
With this investment, the park – a popular site in North Jersey that has experienced notable deterioration in recent years – will get significant improvements.
Bergenfield will dredge the pond for the first time in two decades, along with other improvements.
“I’m incredibly proud that by working closely with the Bergenfield Mayor and Council, we’ve clawed our federal tax dollars from the federal government back to North Jersey,” said Gottheimer. “This $750,000 bipartisan investment will help ensure Cooper’s Pond, an iconic North Jersey park, is maintained and accessible to residents of all ages and families to enjoy for years to come.”
