Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla makes his final pitch to voters in New Jersey’s 8th district this weekend with a new, positive ad in his bid to unseat Rep. Rob Menendez (D-Jersey City) in Tuesday’s Democratic primary.
The ad, “The Time is Now,” is narrated by Bhalla and does not mention his opponent. Instead, the ad pledges to “return power to the people” and advocate for abortion rights and “health care for all.”
The ad also includes a late endorsement from the Jersey Journal.
Script: “I’m Ravi Bhalla. On the city council, we cleaned up corruption. As mayor, I sued Big Oil, stood up to Trump, and declared Hoboken a welcoming city for all. I’m running for Congress because the time is now to return power to the people. We need leaders that represent us. To fight for abortion rights. Health care for all. And to solve the affordability crisis. I’d be honored to have your vote by June 4th.”
The 30-second streaming and digital ad will begin running today and remain on the air through Tuesday.
