Shanahan tapped as new assignment judge

Chief Justice Stuart Rabner has named Judge Kevin Shanahan as the new assignment judge for the Somerset/Hunterdon/Warren vicinage.

He’ll replace Judge Thomas C. Miller, who is retiring after a decade on the Superior Court.

Shanahan was nominated to the bench by Gov. Chris Christie in 2014 and renominated to a tenured term by Gov. Phil Murphy in August.  He’s been the presiding judge of the civil division since 2020.
