The political consulting firm Publitics will retire its name and rebrand its political business as Flashpoint Strategies, the firm announced Monday.
Flashpoint will dedicate its work exclusively to television, direct mail, and digital advertising for high-level Democratic campaigns and groups, they announced. Henry de Koninck will lead the political practice, and Molly Magarik, a former secretary of health and social services in Delaware, will join as a partner.
“Flashpoint Strategies represents an exclusive focus on high-stakes elections,” said Matt Krayton, founder of the firm. “Henry is one of the sharpest and most creative minds working in Democratic politics today. He sees races clearly, understands how voters actually move, and translates strategy into creative that performs under pressure. Flashpoint reflects the level of work he and this team have been delivering for years.”
Flashpoint’s prior clients have included Biden for President, The Lincoln Project, Protecting Our Democracy, and Garden State Forward, the New Jersey Education Association’s PAC.
“Today’s elections demand a specific focus,” Magarik said. “Launching Flashpoint as a politics-first firm enables us to continue to innovate in this space.”
Flashpoint expanded to D.C. in 2022. The firm’s leaders said a centerpiece of their work will be InfluenceIQ, a platform they said uses “advanced AI modeling and integrated performance data” to optimize their work.
Publitics announced it will relaunch its strategic communications, public affairs, and leadership advisory practices under a new name soon.
