New Jersey voter turnout at least 67.1% with record-setting 4 million votes cast

New Jersey has cast at least 4,060,751 ballots for the November 3 general election, the most in state history.

It represents a statewide voter turnout of 67.1%.

These numbers include only a partial count of provisional ballots cast statewide, ballots dropped off in-person at polling locations, or late-arriving ballots from the U.S. Postal Service.

Ballots that are postmarked on November 3 will be counted as long as they arrive at the county Board of Elections by close of business on November 10.   Any ballots without any postmark at all that arrive by close of business today will also be counted.

Turnout  was at 68% in 2016, 67% in 2012, and 73% in 2008.
