Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli is airing his second digital ad in less than two weeks attacking the treatment of women by Gov. Phil Murphy’s campaign and administration.
The 20-second ad, “Phil Murphy’s Orbit,” features a woman’s voice, refers to allegations at the Edna Mahan Correction Facility, the treatment of women soccer players at a team he owns, and includes an image of former Murphy administration official Katie Brennan testifying about her accusation that she was raped while working on the 2017 gubernatorial campaign.
Brennan has criticized Ciattarelli for using her image in political ads without her permission.
Script: “Being a woman in Phil Murphy’s orbit isn’t easy. Name calling. Mistreatment. Harassment. Broken bones. Rape allegations. Why? It’s simple. Phil Murphy just doesn’t care.”
