Drake wins GOP primary for Washington Twp. open seat

Republican Josh Drake has won the Republican nomination for Township Committee

Drake is the vice president of Long Valley Fire Company. He currently leads United States Marine Corps veteran Bryan Nesfeder, 953 votes to Nesfeder’s 654

Drake will fill the seat left open by incumbent Committeeman and former mayor Matt Murello, who decided not to run for re-election.

Washington Township is a Republican stronghold; Donald Trump carried it by over 10 points in 2024
