Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo (D-Hamilton) and Assemblywoman Tennille McCoy (D-Hamilton) will run for re-election, they announced this week.

The 14th district Democrats touted their focus on affordability, infrastructure, and public safety in their announcement.

DeAngelo joined the Assembly in 2008, while McCoy is a freshman legislator who first won election to the chamber in 2023.

“Our district deserves strong, experienced leadership to navigate the challenges ahead,” DeAngelo said in a release. “I am committed to fighting for policies that protect jobs, improve our state’s economic opportunities, and keep our communities safe. I look forward to continuing this work alongside Assemblywoman McCoy.”

DeAngelo and McCoy defeated their Republican opponents soundly in 2023.

“As your Assemblywoman, I will continue to ensure every resident has the resources and tools for economic sustainability when needed,” McCoy said. “While we’ve made significant strides, there’s still much to accomplish. I am eager to continue advocating for our working families by dismantling barriers to essential services and fighting for better healthcare and housing.”

No other candidates have filed to run in the 14th.
