Kaufman Zita Group hires ex-Assembly budget director

Christopher Hughes, a former Assembly Republican budget director, has joined one of the state’s top lobbying firms.

Hughes has joined the Kaufman Zita Group as a new vice president.

Prior to joining the lobbying firm, Hughes worked in government relations for Virtua Health.  He is a former chief of staff to the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance.
