Rep. Andy Kim (D-Moorestown) has joined high-profile political leaders from both sides of the aisle in calling for the resignation of Bill Hayden, a Sussex County Commissioner accused of Stolen Valor after allegedly lying about his military service.
“The people of Sussex County deserve public servants that they can trust. Commissioner Hayden had broken that public trust, and I join Democratic and Republican leadership in the county in calling for him to step down,” said Kim. “If he doesn’t, I will work as hard as possible with Sussex Democrats to help elect a Democrat to his seat.”
Reps. Tom Kean, Jr. (R-Westfield), Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff), State Sen. Parker Space (R-Wantage), Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia (R-Franklin), Assemblyman Mike Inganamort (R-Chester), First Lady Tammy Murphy, and the Sussex County Democratic and Republican leadership have demanded Hayden’s resignation.
One of Hayden’s untruths: he claims he was part of a Navy SEAL team that assassinated drug kingpin Pablo Escobar.
