Menendez endorses Small in Atlantic City

Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small

U.S. Senator Bob Menendez has endorsed Marty Small, Sr. for the Democratic nomination for mayor of Atlantic City.

“Mary Small is working hard for the citizens and taxpayers of Atlantic City,” Menendez said.  “I share his vision to improve the quality of life for residents, boots the local economy, create new jobs, and address aging infrastructure.

Small became mayor last year following the resignation of Frank Gilliam, who admitted to stealing money from a youth basketball league he ran.

Gov. Phil Murphy, U.S. Senator Cory Booker and former Gov. Richard Codey (D-Roseland) have already endorsed Small.

Small faces Pamela Thomas-Fields, who has the backing of the Atlantic City Democratic organization.
