Labrosse slate wins at least two seats in Hackensack

Hoffman leads by just eight votes; Rodriguez re-elected

Hackensack Board of Education President Lara Rodriguez

Allies of Hackensack mayor John Labrosse won two Board of Education seats tonight, with a third seat possibly headed to a recount after provisional votes are counted.

Board of Education president Lara Rodriguez won re-election with 770 votes, with running mate Michael Scott James-Vickery winning a seat with 772 votes.

Another incumbent running on an opposition slate, Timothy Hoffman, leads Ira Goodman by eight votes, 719  to 711.

Yvette Washington Irving received 702 votes.  

Basim Ahmad finished last with 590 votes.

Rodriguez, the daughter of the late State Sen. Byron Baer, is the clerk of the Bergen County Board of Freeholders.
