The union representing New Jersey State Troopers was effusive in their support of Matt Platkin for attorney general.

“We are excited to hear of the return of our friend Matt Platkin to state government in the role of Attorney General,” said Wayne Blanchard the President of the State Troopers Fraternal Association of New Jersey.  “We look forward to working with AG Platkin on policy which protects the safety and Rights of our members while balancing public trust and accountability in our troopers.”

The troopers union was among the law enforcement unions to endorse Gov Phil Murphy for re-election last year.

Blanchard praised the short tenure of Andrew Bruck, who has served as acting attorney general since the departure of Gurbir Grewal last July.

“There was unprecedented communication, idea sharing, and respect, which helped create good policy,” Blanchard stated.  “The State Troopers Fraternal Association expects nothing less from the Attorney General’s Office under the leadership of Matt Platkin.”
