Leaders of North Jersey’s Peruvian community have formed a group to help Andre Sayegh win his bid to become the next mayor of Paterson.
Peruvians for Andre is being run Kat Esquiche, as well as Peruvian religious leaders Arturo Sanchez and Rodolfo Romero, and former Peruvian Parade presidents. Mario Lopez and Dr. Carlos Tello,
“Much like an Inca warrior, Andre is a proven fighter who has endured hard fought battles. He understands the political landscape of Paterson and we are confident he will be a great mayor,” said Esquiche. “The current movement known as ‘Paterson’s Inca Trail’ has spent weeks registering new voters and is pounding the pavement securing support of registered Peruvian voters in the city of Paterson. Peruvians for Andre will be out in full force until the polls close on May 8th.”
Sayegh, a Sixth Ward councilman, said that bringing all of Paterson’s diverse communities together is his vision for moving the city forward.
