ELEC files complaint against Freeholder

Cumberland County Freeholder Darlene Barber

A seven-count complaint has been filed against Cumberland County Freeholder Darlene Barber alleging that she failed to provide obligatory information about donors to her 2013 campaign to the state Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC).

The ELEC complaint, filed five years after the retired educator made her first bid for public office, alleges that Barber was late filing reports, did not properly report certain contributions, and did not include information about some donors required by state law.
