Democrats John William Upton and Ellsworth Havens won election to the Florham Park Borough Council, defeating Republican candidates Nicholas Ritrivi and Marc DeBoer and capturing both available seats.
Upton led the field with 2,523 votes, followed closely by Havens with 2,509 votes. Ritrivi received 2,386 votes, while DeBoer received 2,366 votes. There were also seven write-in votes.
The Democratic victories flip both council seats, ending the Republicans’ hold on the two positions in a borough that has narrowly favored Republicans in recent top-of-the-ticket elections.
Trump carried Florham Park by three points in 2024, while Ciattarelli won it by three points in 2025.
