Seth Grossman calls the attacks on Judge Brett Kavanaugh “lowest thing I’ve seen in politics in my entire life, and I’m from New Jersey.”
In an email solicitation for campaign funds on Sunday evening, Grossman said that his Democratic opponent in the race for New Jersey’s 2nd district congressional seat is supporting the radical left and their attempts to “Bork” Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court.
His reference is to Judge Robert Bork, who was nominated to serve as U.S. Supreme Court Justice by President Ronald Reagan, but was rejected by the U.S. Senate.
“I’m sure you, like me, sat riveted to the Kavanaugh hearings this week. I sat there in absolute disgust as the Democrats went after Judge Kavanaugh and forgot the basic things this country was founded on. The assumption that we are all innocent until proven guilty,” Grossman said. “The Democrats still can’t stand that President Trump won the election and that he has now gotten to nominate two Supreme Court Justices.”
Grossman accused the “radical left” of trying to delay the confirmation vote until after the midterm elections, with the hope that they will take control of the Senate.
He said he wants to “protect not only South Jersey and America from the leftists, but also our President as well.”
