Union County Democratic Chairman Nicholas Scutari today endorsed LeRoy Jones for New Jersey Democratic State Chairman.
“Chairman Currie has worked hard on behalf of Democrats throughout New Jersey, and I thank him for his service. As we begin laying the groundwork for Democratic success in 2020 and beyond, I believe party cohesion and effective leadership are absolutely necessary,” Scutari said. “The unparalleled success and unifying leadership Chairman LeRoy Jones has displayed in Essex County should serve as a model for what we need at the New Jersey Democratic State Committee in the years ahead.”
Jones, the Essex County Democratic chairman, is mulling a challenge to incumbent John Currie.
