Stanley Iacono, former Weehawken mayor, dies at 90
Stanley Iacono, who called himself “The Godfather of Weehawken” and served fourteen years as mayor, died on August 31. He was 90. A fierce protector of Weehawken’s waterfront, Iacono served as mayor from 1969 to 1975 and again from 1982 to 1990.
