The executive director of the Democratic State Committee helps build a fundraiser at Tammy and Phil Murphy’s home that brings in $400k to the state party.  The former eight-term state senator loses his gig as counsel to the South Jersey Port Authority as Gov. Phil Murphy tries to punish the Senate President — who ironically deposed Zane in 2001.

The Senate Minority Leader becomes Phil Murphy’s think tank on transit issues after the governor adopts his plan to waive residency requirements for NJ Transit engineers. The new Trenton city councilwoman is accused of secretly taping her colleagues — not a great start for someone in office about 45 days.

The legendary Jersey Journal reporter, who passed away earlier this year, is honored by the naming of a branch of the Jersey City public library after him. The Jersey City mayor is fighting with people again, this time over the city council balking over his plan to raise the salary of city department directors to $150,000.
