Sires campaigns for Bayonne Mayor

Hudson Congressman assists Davis

Rep. Albio Sires (D-West New York) stumped in Bayonne today on behalf of Mayor Jimmy Davis, who is seeking re-election to a second term in a matchup with former Assemblyman Jason O’Donnell.

Sires accompanied Davis on a walk through downtown Bayonne, talking to employees at local businesses and meeting residents.

The former Assembly Speaker and West New York mayor shares Bayonne with Rep. Donald Payne, Jr. (D-Newark).

Davis was elected in 2014 when he ousted incumbent Mark Smith.   O’Donnell was a close ally of Smith, and lost his Assembly seat in 2015 when Davis replaced him with his own Assembly candidate.
