Andy Kim is using a contribution from Vice President Mike Pence’s political action committee to raise money for his campaign for Congress.

Pence’s PAC, the Great American Committee, has contributed $5,400 to Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-Toms River).

“We know exactly where that money is going: right into nonstop, dishonest attack ads against Andy,” Kim’s campaign manager, Zack Carroll, said in a fundraising e-mail. “Mike Pence’s donation proves what we’ve been saying for months: This district could decide who controls Congress — and both parties know it.”

Carroll said that Kim, a former Obama White House staffer, is scaring the Republican establishment.

“If MacArthur and his super PAC allies can pour money into attack ads unanswered, the results could be devastating — for us and the country,” said Carroll.
