Governor Murphy’s Week 6 Grade

Today is Phil Murphy’s 41st day in office and the end of his sixth week.  Murphy had a big week in his appeal to the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party, restoring funding for Planned Parenthood and other women’s health organizations, and talking about gun violence.  He spent the end of the week in Washington, D.C. for his first National Governor’s Association meeting.  He’s had only good press — no big guns on the Republican side slamming him for reversing Chris Christie’s positions — or even slamming him for slamming Christie.  And he’s made no public mistakes.  A panel appointed by his would-be nemesis, Senate President Steve Sweeney, to look at economic issues could be a problem for the governor — but it isn’t yet.
