Endorsements

The follow endorsements were announced today:

The Communications Workers of America (CWA) has endorsed Democrat Christine Clarke for State Assembly in the 26th district.

“Clarke has the CWA endorsement because of her genuine values. She ran to support constituents in her District, not to do the bidding of some corporate controlled political boss. She supports equal rights, collective bargaining, public education and services, pension funding, fair taxes, green Jobs and unions. In other words, she’s the opposite of Jay Webber,” said Hetty Rosenstein, Area Director of CWA.

32BJ of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has endorsed Democrat Melonie Marano for Somerset County Freeholder.

“We are proud to endorse these candidates who will be champions for the working people and union members of this state,” said Kevin Brown, 32BJ SEIU Vice President and New Jersey State Director. “With these candidates on our side, we are optimistic that we can create a New Jersey that works for all—not just the wealthy few. We are committed to working hard to elect these candidates who will stand up for working families, the backbone of our economy, and look forward to having them in office.”

The New Jersey State Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association has endorsed Independent incumbent James P. Dodd for Mayor of Dover.

“Your record over two decades of public service has proven that you truly care about the people you service.  During this time, you have witnessed how fire and other emergencies can be devastating to a community,” said Eddie Donnelly, the president of the union.

The following endorsement were announced on Wednesday:

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 102 has endorsed Republican incumbent BettyLou DeCroce for State Assembly in the 26th district.

“We have always supported BettyLou DeCroce, and we always will. She is a hardworking, dedicated legislator and we stand by her re-election again this year,” said IBEW 102 Business Manager Patrick R. Delle Cava.

Assemblymen Andrew Zwicker and Roy Freiman have endorsed Democrat Dominick Puzio for Hunterdon County Sheriff.

“We could not be more honored to endorse Dominick Puzio for Hunterdon County Sheriff. He is community-minded, forward-thinking with vast experience in law enforcement and exactly what Hunterdon County needs. As Sheriff, he will help keep the residents of Hunterdon County safe, put important new methods in place to help combat the opioid crisis, utilize new technologies to improve effectiveness while building stronger relationships with our neighborhoods. We ask that on November 5th you vote for Dominick Puzio for Hunterdon County Sheriff,” Zwicker and Freiman said.
