No apparent winner in Millburn

The race for Millburn Township Committee is too close to call, with Democrat Tara Prupis leading Republican incumbent Jodi Rosenberg by 73 votes, 3,450 to 3,377.

There are still vote-by-mail and provisional ballots that need to be counted.

Rep.-elect Tom Malinowski (D-Rocky Hill) carried Millburn with 67% of the vote against incumbent Leonard Lance.

Rosenberg is the lone Republican on the five-member Township Committee.  She was elected in 2015 and is seeking her second term.

In North Caldwell, Republican mayor Joseph Alessi was re-elected with 71% of the vote against independent Richard Verde, a former municipal prosecutor.
