A new TV ad in the Bayonne mayoral election has challenger Jason O’Donnell attacking Mayor Jimmy Davis for his support of tax abatement’s — something Davis opposed when he defeated incumbent Mark Smith in 2014. O’Donnell, a former Assemblyman and Smith’s top political guy, says that Davis has given forty tax breaks to wealthy developers.
“The Davis Team will say or do anything to get elected, just like four years ago,” O’Donnell’s ad says.
